The Flea still hovering high at thirty three

From 'la pulga' of Newell's old boys to the 'Messiah' of Barcelona, and extraterrestrial for many, the world ran out of superlatives a long, long time ago. Even Pep Guardiola once said  "Don't Write about him, don't try to describe him, just watch him " and this should be the best way to describe the epitome of perfection which may never repeat for the next 100 years, once arguably the greatest player of all time hangs up his boots.

The King, who turns 33 today was diagnosed with the growth deficiency hormone at the age of 11 which could have crashed all his dreams and now after 22 years, he is still hovering high above all the possible standards for a normal human being.  He is so inexplicably perfect that you need a whole team to defend against him, and yet he transitions from a breeze into a  storm in no time, Even at 33 his acceleration is unbeatable, his lighting feet and eagle-eyed vision makes him transcendent. There's almost nothing at the club level which Leo hasn't enjoyed, records after records, wins after wins and trophies after trophies. Even he has his own adjective added to the Spanish dictionary 'inmessionante' which translates to 'the perfect way to play football'. 

The six-time Ballon d'Or winner is still improving with age, defying all the laws of nature and year by year redefining the idea of perfection. With 699 career goals, the little magician is standing one short for the supreme '700 Goals Club' and seeing his powers he will most likely be the first one to enter the unimaginable '800 Goals Club'. He is so good that you become a schadenfreude if he doesn't play for your dear club or country, but true football lovers know what he stands for and they never fail to pay their homage. 
Even after achieving a lot more than he would have ever imagined, there's a deep void which is yet to be filled, an international trophy for Argentina. Though he has given his all, he is Argentina's all-time top scorer, has taken Argentina to the 3 impossible finals including the World Cup 2014, but after all, as the phrase goes  'Even God can't help those who do not help themselves' that's what has happened with Argentina all these years. AFA has been struggling with a series of incapable Mangers who could neither devise a method to take the full advantage of this little magician nor could develop any reliable tactics for the big games.  And that's why he is one of the most hated persons in his own country, his own statues have been vandalised in the past but despite all the hatred he always stands up for the country as his loyalty and patriotism for his country are above all. 
 It's still the scariest thought where he hangs up his boot, but someday he has to. So, let's just enjoy this once in a generation player at the peak of his abilities with the hope of filling that so-called void soon, because it doesn't matter if he ever wins one or not but he will surely be the greatest ever talent the humanity has ever seen.
